Psychiatry speaks of mood disorders to characterize “the disruptions of the basic emotional tendency of the mental state that may lead to behavioural changes”. The question is where the boundary between normal and pathological is drawn. This limit is blurred, and some generalised disorders may well go unnoticed due to lack of comparative elements.

Delira is a complete loss of the meaning of reality. It characterizes proven psychopathotic disorders, such as delusional puffs, paranoid delirium, or schizophrenia. These situations are so frequent that they are not attributed to disorders of psychic functioning arising from specific causes, but to traits of character or personality that are part of the essentials of human nature.

Many other constants of the psychic state deemed normal may go unnoticed, be considered as part of the human nature, whereas in reality they are behavioral disorders. This is the case with paranoid trends (commonly referred to as paranoid. The concept of Promethean culture may well reflect an alteration of the Self, turning to the ego, commonly spread to the point of causing the human community to delude itself on its ability to dominate and exploit nature.

Schizoid trends are also known to be endemic. Here, too, one has to wonder whether it is an innate characteristic of human psychism, or, on the contrary, a functional disorder due to still obscure causes. Schizoidism consists in “parting” reality, a little like a multiple personality. Moreover, this trend could explain the ability of men to harm and destroy while maintaining a perfect conscience.

The very definition of a mental disorder implies that it results from a cause, which alters natural behaviour. The bet of human ecogenetics is to bring to light the psychic factors that can hide behind environmental destructive behaviour, assuming that these factors do not necessarily belong to human nature, but arise from a number of deregulations that may be elucidated.
