Human ecogenetics seeks the still unknown links between ecology, de-la-genetique and dysfunctions of human psychism.

All organisms involved in an ecosystem are largely determined by their genes. They have a certain capacity to adapt to new situations, but this adaptability is limited. Man, endowed with superior intelligence, is the first creature able to impose on the natural environment constraints that never existed before. The question therefore arises, in the face of each human artifact, whether or not it exceeds the adaptability of the species involved, ranging from man himself to the whole ecosystem.

This suggests that the ecological problem cannot be solved without taking into account genetic knowledge, as genes determine the broad lines of operation and adaptability of different species. The ability to adapt is played at two main levels: at the genetic level, through the processes of mutation and natural selection, which takes a large number of generations; and at the epigenetic level, including the mechanisms for regulating genes according to the environment.
