Depression

Depression is more widespread than we think in our modern society. It can be understood as the paroxysmic and individualized expression of an evil being that we all feel. It translates, in some more fragile individuals, the larval dissatisfaction of a life form that does not bring us what we deeply aspire to.

Rather than treating depressions with psychotropic substances, we must first ask ourselves what their real origin is. A disease never settles by chance. We need pathogens and favorable terrain. The depressants certainly have the ground, but this must not make us hide the external causes of their condition. These are usually on the side of disappointments in love, family situations or professional setbacks.

Endemic depression and its pathological expressions could serve as an indicator and point to disorders affecting society as a whole. For example, it would be a question of questioning the patterns of behaviour that our culture imposes on us in terms of love or love relations, the principle of the nuclear family as criticized by Reich, the production system and its wage arrangements, the spirit of competition and competition, etc.

Why have these structures been set up in history? Is this a manifestation of the real needs of the human being and his genetic potential, or rather the expression of psychic disorders induced by still obscure causes? It would be imprudent to sweep away these kinds of questions, because they can hide mechanisms of which we are all victims without doubt, and whose biotope risks being victimized in turn.

The proliferation of depressions is a form of contradiction with regard to the promises of happiness of our materialistic civilization. This contradiction is not deliberate, it is the product of our unconscious. We should take it very seriously, because it is possible that our unconscious people desperately, through it, may draw our attention to the evil we do to ourselves and to nature.

It is up to us to look at the wrong behaviour and to highlight its real causes. Once these mechanisms are explained, it will be much easier to escape them and save what remains of our planet…
