Cultural, psychological and social environment

Human behaviour is likely to be determined more by the cultural and social context than by the physical environment (as long as it is bearable). The way in which decisions are made, choices are made, nature and life in general, depends directly on the psychic structures, i.e. on the multiple conditioning and trauma experienced in early childhood.

It is therefore essential, if we want to change the relationship between man and the environment, to first determine what are the features involved in the psychic structure, and then to look at what are the cultural values or constraints responsible for these distortions.

This leads to a revision of the entire system of values peculiar to our Western civilization, but it is at this price that we can solve, theoretically to begin with, the bottom of the ecological problem. A better understanding of the mechanisms we are ultimately victims of
