The demographic explosion

The figures are eloquent: the world population has grown almost exponentially. Such a curve characterizes a real explosion.

The explosion of a mixture, however, is possible only if the conditions are met for the different ingredients to react. It is therefore a question of inventorying these ingredients, and not forgetting any – a requirement that current demographic research is far from taking on.

Human ecogenetics adds to the demographic factors already taken into account two fundamental issues, which are almost neglected: food, and sexuality. These two areas are closely related to the increase in births and are clearly more important than the reduction in infant mortality and the increase in average life expectancy.

It is not possible anyway, for ethical reasons, to dispense with the contributions of medicine. The world will not join the Inuit with their traditions imposing suicide on the elderly. While food and sexual factors can be more easily discussed.
