Recycling

Recycling reduces both resource demands and the mass of garbage. It is essential to recycle everything that is recyclable in order to curb the unbridled rate of environmental damage. Discharges, incinerators, sewage treatment are essential to curb the ongoing ecological disaster. It is urgent to take all possible measures.

Unfortunately, none of these measures can reduce the various pollution factors to zero. Only part of the plastics can be reused, while the rest continue to accumulate in landfills or pollute the air through incinerators. Incinerators themselves cannot zero the pollutants that they return to air, landfills or compost. Chemical pollutants diffuse into water and air and are not recyclable.

Recycling is therefore only a very limited means of curbing the consequences of consumption. It will necessarily be overtaken one day by the double playing field of progress in developing countries and population growth. It is the very principle of growth that is at issue, and which must be fundamentally questioned: what are the psychological or les-facteurs-psychopathologiques that generate this aberrant situation?

This is the number one task of human ecogenetics. But the main growth factor remains population growth in the long term. The inextricable Gordian node of global ecosystem balance will be resolved only if this problem finds a sufficiently rapid and efficient solution. However, the most fundamental factor at issue here is none other, on the scale of the large numbers, than the frequency of conceptions, therefore the nature of sexual behaviour, themselves largely induced by culture.

It is therefore essential to question sexual morality and its impact on psychosexual structuring as well as on conscious behavioural choices. With the hope that a “recyclages” of Western culture in accordance with natural laws will restore birth control mechanisms capable of avoiding deadlock.
