**Revolutionary: Why? **

Because human ecogenetics fundamentally questions the functioning of human psychism, and redefines its dysfunctions on new bases as the root causes of ecological debacle.

It is generally considered that man is what he is and that there is no alternative to accepting him as he is. Human ecogenetics blows up these locks and postulates that behaviors that lead humanity to destroy its own biotope, to the point of endangering its future, are likely pathological, even if we feel them as normal.

However, normal behaviour, whether secular or millennium, is not normal or natural. All human behaviour, especially those already known to be in contact with direct or indirect environmental nuisances, must therefore be combed thoroughly, and then asked about their real nature and raison d’être.

This type of research is today facilitated by the progress of psychology in all its forms and the sciences-humaines in general: psychiatry, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, psychoanalysis, ethology, anthropology, ecology, ecopsychology, de-la-genetique, epidemiology, etc. Let us therefore take advantage of the outils that science provides us with to better understand the factors responsible for the current situation.
