“Everything is for the best in the best of all possible worlds”… Does Candide’s famous formula apply when it comes to love and sexuality? If this is your opinion, do not waste your time on this site and peacefully live your happiness.

If you instead believe that things could be better, there is a chance that metapsychoanalysis will bring you some clarification – and, why not, the happiness you have always expected…

Observing the world, my own married life and that of a good number of couples has led me to ask myself a certain number of questions: why so many difficulties in love life, so many disappointments, arguments, hurts, breakups, frustrations, suffering, divorces, torn children, neurosis… Why so much contrast between our expectation of happiness and daily reality?

Two answers are possible:

Nature being what it is, we might as well question the reasons for existence and the effects of culture, its prohibitions and its patterns of behavior. It is not easy to define a relevant research method that allows us to identify the causes of our difficulties. We often have to make do with the means at hand and observations made on a day-to-day basis, to draw general rules and formulate hypotheses. If we come across the right causes, we will be able to correct our representation of the things of love and find what we aspire to deep down. If we fail, well too bad, we will remain with the status quo, and we will have rid ourselves of sterile illusions…

The adventure has now been going on since the 1960s. It ended rather well, by luck, or thanks to several decades of dismantling the gears of the “system”. As could be predicted, the reactions were terribly violent. I have paid dearly for the freedom to denounce what has proven to be morally false, and to sometimes transgress the law. These transgressions were necessary to explore the gray areas of our culture, and I knew I would pay the price. But the theoretical heritage of this period is there, ready to be transmitted and bear fruit. Starting from a simple question of genetic adaptation of man to his culture, I managed to reformulate a rather unexpected number of natural laws, denouncing as errors many behaviors deemed intrinsic to human nature…

It is this revolutionary theory, to say the least, that I suggest you examine more closely. If you just want to get a first idea of Metapsychoanalysis, start with the page ‘What is Metapsychoanalysis?’ which will refer you to the other themes of the site. If you are not too allergic to psychoanalytic language and immediately want to see things in more depth, you can read a pamphlet given in the attachment, in which I attempt to treat the problem in a more systematic way: Essay on metapsychoanalysis in the light of Freud, Jung, Reich and Lacan.

I will personally respond to all questions and objections by email on 00120260a@gmail.com. Nothing like criticism to move forward… In fact, I do not consider that Metapsychoanalysis is completed. Like any self-respecting theory, it remains constantly subject to questioning. She is also the first to explore the unknown lands of the relationships between love, sexuality and metapsychic development. I am ready to modify it whenever a proven fact contradicts it or a contradiction appears with established knowledge or new discoveries. Here, it is not opinions that must prevail, but the observation of reality and the logic of reasoning. Rationalism has the advantage of being supposed to bring everyone into agreement, to the extent that the perception of reality and the logic of the intellect are universal. It is in this spirit of research and sharing that I invite you to participate in this reflection.

Kind regards, Guy-Claude Burger
